Mmm… Buñuelos. My gluten-free heart cries out for you! Also known as beignets, they’re basically little deep fried puffs filled with cream and they are so delicious. Find the full recipe here and please make them, delight in them and then leave me a message with details about how great they were.
I dated a Ukrainian for several years and, thanks to it, learned quite a good deal about Eastern European food. One of my favorites was the cabbage roll, which he and his family called golubtsi. While I could never quite pronounce it to his satisfaction, the word causes my mouth to start salivating.
Steph over at Wasabimon has a guest post from the writer behind MarthaandMe about the Martha recipe and it really got me missing that flavor. Though reading over the Martha recipe left me a bit unenthused, I remembered there is also a recipe for them in Barefoot Contessa at Home (listed as Stuffed Cabbage) and this may be my initial plan of attack in the battle of delicious cabbage for the winter.
